Redis has inbuilt support for running Lua scripts to perform various actions directly on the Redis server.  Scripting is typically controlled using the EVAL , EVALSHA and SCRIPT LOADcommands, but these commands are disabled by default in Aiven Redis as running scripts on a Redis server may impact service availability.

We're happy to enable Redis scripting for Aiven customers by request, with the understanding that any outage caused by custom scripts is not covered by the service SLA.
